Anxiety Class and Support Group
About the Event
The anxiety course contains 8 weekly lessons, during which the participants learn about the different mental, emotional and physical symptoms of anxiety. They learn the prevailing theory about where anxiety comes from, and how it can be reinforced by societal and personal factors. The participants learn about some of the most effective evidence-based practices that can help reduce anxiety, such as exposure therapy. Additionally, they learn 8 different "tools" which they can use to help support them with anxiety.
For age group 9 to 13:
Start Date: Thursday October 7th, 7pm to 8pm (runs weekly until November 25th)
For age group 14 to 18:
Start Date: Thursday October 7th, 8pm to 9pm (runs weekly until November 25th)
