Clinical Counsellor
Rebecca Fishburne MCC, RCC
Rebecca (she/her) brings a calm, attuned, and relational energy to therapy, helping clients explore their inner world with depth, safety, and support. She believes therapy is a space to slow down, make sense of what feels confusing or painful, and reconnect with one’s own capacity for growth and healing. Rebecca works with individuals and couples seeking meaningful change—whether they’re navigating relationship stress, life transitions, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, or exploration around sex, intimacy, or identity. Her approach is collaborative and integrative, drawing from psychodynamic, attachment-based, somatic, and family systems perspectives. She is particularly interested in how early experiences shape the ways we relate to ourselves and others, and how insight and self-compassion can open pathways for change. Depending on what feels most supportive, Rebecca may weave in elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and the Gottman Method for couples. She also offers EMDR. Outside of her counselling work, Rebecca enjoys spending time in nature, connecting with her community, and staying active through a variety of movement practices.

About EMDR Therapy
What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. It works by using guided eye movements (or other forms of bilateral stimulation) while recalling difficult memories, which helps the brain reprocess them in a healthier way. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR focuses less on detailed discussion of the past and more on helping your brain “unstick” from the painful memories that continue to affect your present.
